If you haven’t already noticed, we tend to blog about F1 racing occasionally here at SIMOVO, and why not? If you’re a motor racing fan, you’ve got more excuses than ever to go exploring the globe, with F1 GPs unfolding across Europe, Asia, and this November, in South America.
The current F1 season is still up in the air at the time of writing, and November’s GP, which will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, promises to be one of the tightest yet. Naturally, if you’re thinking of jetting out to Brazil for the race weekend, you’re going to want to pack a few essentials – and we’re here (as always) to explain why loading up an eSIM should be at the top of your agenda.
Let’s take a look at how the Brazilian Grand Prix is shaping up, and why you’ll want an eSIM for Brazil ready to go when you land.
The 2025 Brazil Grand Prix: What You Need to Know
This year, Brazil’s Sao Paulo GP will take place from November 7th, leading up to the race day on November 9th. Big F1 fans will no doubt want to take in all of the action from the stands, so it’s well worth booking your flights and grabbing tickets for the whole weekend. Sprint Qualifying, Sprint, and Qualifying will take place on November 7th and 8th, lining up the grid for the big day.
Interlagos has played host to F1 racing since 1973, and at 71 laps and 305.939km long, it’s a heck of a drive even for the most seasoned of podium-seekers. The fastest lap time here was recorded by Valtteri Bottas, who set 1:10’540 – and there’s a reason why that time hasn’t been beaten in seven years!
Interlagos is a fairly complex track that has stayed mostly the same over the decades, with a hill change and tight turns that have traditionally tested even the best drivers. Max Verstappen stormed to victory here in 2024, over 19 seconds ahead of Esteban Ocon in second. This time around, Verstappen’s in third overall in the standings – and things are really hotting up. He’s not only going to want to reclaim a win at Interlagos for the glory, but to claw some points back in the standings.
Who’s Going to Win at Interlagos in 2025?
Lando Norris, who is barely leading McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri by one point at the time of writing, appears to be the favourite to win this November’s race. However, as expected, Verstappen is not too far behind in the listings, and neither is Piastri.
At the time of writing, there are only four races left in the season (including the Brazil GP), meaning there is everything to race for. McLaren has absolutely dominated this time around, but there is still room for Verstappen, who last year was positively unstoppable, to pull out an upset.
After Sao Paulo, F1 will head to Las Vegas and Qatar in late November, before finally coming to a head for the season in Abu Dhabi at the start of December. It’s set to be a nail-biting climax, and with Norris only ahead by one point in the Driver’s Championship right now, there are plenty of great reasons to actually go and watch the racing action in person.
Of course, if you’re a massive F1 fan, you may well have jetted across the miles already this year to take in some of the breakneck laps. If not, however, there is still plenty of time for you to book your flights and tickets for the Brazil race.
Don’t Forget Your Data!
While plenty of F1 fans will, naturally, be focusing on the racing action when they travel, many will want to share as much of their time out in Brazil, for example, as possible. That means keeping in touch with family and friends while abroad, which can sadly result in high data usage fees if you’re not careful.
If you head abroad with your usual SIM (even if you just add a simple travel booster on top), there’s a chance you will accrue all kinds of unexpected and nasty fees. With an eSIM from SIMOVO, however, you can pay for the data you want to use out in Brazil (and elsewhere in South America) before you depart. It’s a pay-as-you-go option that keeps you connected and stops you from breaking the bank just by connecting to the internet.
Check out our standard Brazil eSIMs, for example. If you’re only heading away for the F1 weekend, you can top up 1GB of data to cover you for a week. If you’re making it a longer trip, we can cover you for up to 20GB across 30 days!
If you know you might use a little more data while you’re away, for example, on social media or streaming away from the track action, we can load you up with a max of 5GB a day, refreshing every 24 hours, as part of our unlimited Brazil eSIM. Unlike traditional SIMs, all you have to do is purchase your eSIM package online first, download via QR code, and activate. Your eSIM will kick into gear as soon as you arrive in Sao Paulo!
Our eSIMs cover you for up to 5G with TIM, one of Brazil’s best-loved and most reliable mobile data networks. You won’t have to wander around looking for a potentially unsecure WiFi hotspot – just connect straight to 5G wherever you are in Brazil and stream away.
You might not think you’ll use your devices much while watching F1 in Brazil this November, but it never hurts to be prepared. SIMOVO offers great value, reliable data connectivity all over the world – and it’s one less thing for you to worry about, so you can focus on cheering on your favourite drivers.
Not long till the end of the season – head on over to Brazil and experience the fun while you can!
